"Harvesting ICT4D Training Materials Development Expertise”

Lusaka, Zambia, July 18 - 22 2006

About the workshop

During research conducted among ICT4D trainers by IICD last year, one of the critical needs identified was the ability to develop and adapt ICT training materials to suit the needs of development audiences. Therefore, in order to ensure that Train-the-ICT4Dtrainer materials are deeply rooted in practice, this workshop will harvest your experiential knowledge and thus aid in developing and spreading good practice in this specialist field. MMTK Resources

The MMTK is a growing collection of "workshop kits" for face-to-face training. see http://www.itrainonline.org/itrainonline/mmtk/

The materials use a standard set of templates, and offer building blocks for trainers to build their own courses. This is the format we will be using to develop TTT materials.

1. Guide for MMTK/ITO authors

2. Writing good learning content

3. Video introduction to the MMTK (you need a fast connection to watch this)

4. Zipped templates for the MMTK

5. Key Competencies in Implementing Effective Training Events
